How it works
What happens after you book, step by step.
You fill in three short steps. Acculevel calls to set a time. Someone comes, inspects, measures and explains. You get a written quote with no obligation, or an honest "this can wait".
1. The call
A member of the team will call you to set up your free inspection, usually within one business day. The call is to pick a time, not to sell anything. If the house is outside the area, you will be told on that call instead of being passed to someone else.
2. The visit
The project advisor looks at the problem where it is: the basement walls and floor, the crawl space, the outside of the foundation, gutters and grading. They measure cracks, check whether walls are plumb, and look for the water path. Then they explain what is happening and why, in plain words. Ask as many questions as you like.
3. The written quote
You get a fixed price for the recommended work, on paper, before anyone leaves. It lists what will be done and how long it takes. There is no obligation, and you can take it to any other contractor for comparison.
What it does not involve
- No charge, and no "diagnostic fee" that gets waived if you sign.
- No selling your details. The only company that has them is the one that visited.
- No pressure to sign on the day. If you do sign a contract at home, the FTC Cooling-Off Rule generally gives you three business days to cancel, and the contract must say so.
Questions people ask
Is there any charge for the visit or the quote?
No. The inspection and the written quote are free, whether or not you go ahead.
Will I be pressured to sign on the day?
No. The quote is yours to keep and compare. If you sign a contract during a visit to your home, the FTC Cooling-Off Rule generally gives you three business days to cancel, and the contract must include that notice. This is general information, not legal advice.
Who actually comes to the house?
A project advisor from Acculevel, the company that performs the inspections and repairs for this site. They will say so when they call and when they arrive.
How long does the visit take?
Plan on about two hours. Larger houses, or a crawl space that is hard to get into, can take longer.
What if the inspection finds nothing serious?
Then you hear that, along with what to watch for and when to look again. A cosmetic crack does not get a repair quote it does not need.
